ANNABEL Granger might be pushing towards the top end of the W45-50 age group but she is still capable of running personal bests.
On Sunday the Bristol & West AC runner (officially pictured at the race last weekend) clocked a superb time of 2hrs 47mins 24secs to finish second woman overall and top W45 runner in the MBNA Chester Marathon.
That time shaved 19 seconds off her 2019 PB set in London and was also quicker than her previous fastest time this year of 2:48.33 set at the Manchester marathon in April.
To put that in perspective Granger, who was representing England in the masters championships event, is now the quickest woman this year in the UK in her W45-50 age group.
