Running for England in the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon the 34-year-old Bristol & West AC runner broke her personal best with a time of 2hrs 35min 57secs.
That carved 1min 38secs off the time she ran in London earlier this year and follows up her recent PB of 73mins 01secs in the Cardiff half marathon to complete a fantastic month.
Thee time also lifts Spink to fifth in the UK Rankings behind 36-year-old Sonia Samuels, who took advantage of the super-fast Berlin event last month to run 2:28.08.
