Robinson’s on a hot streak with three wins out of three

BEN Robinson continued his return to form after injury with a runaway victory in the Berkeley 10k road race yesterday.

The Bristol & West AC runner (pictured above far left shortly after the start of the race) splashed his way to victory in very wet conditions finishing 1min 09secs clear of the field with a time of 31mins 34seccs.

It was Robinson’s second win in 10 days having also won the Glastonbury Round The Tor 10k at the end of April in 31:49 – the day after he raced to victory over 5000m (15:21.1) in the Gloucestershire County Track Championships so he is clearly racing himself back into form.

Sam Richards (Pontypridd Roadents) was runner-up in 32:51 with Western Tempo’s Alex Lee third (32:51).

Fellow B&W runner Alex Hill was 11th (34:37) with Thornbury Running Club’s Ben Bohane also making the top 20 in 16th (36:07).

Jonathan Goodland of B&W was top veteran over 65 (41:54). First woman was W35 veteran Kate Telford of CLC Striders (39:35).
