JACK Pitcher trimmed 15 seconds off his marathon personal best last weekend.
Pitcher, who competes for Emersons Green Running Club, completed the Bank of America Chicago marathon in a time of 2hrs 45mins 49secs for 624th place.
That previous best was set just less than a year ago in Barcelona and in addition to London that same year (2:45.55) Pitcher also ran the Marathon Bahamas in Nassau in 2020 (3:11.01).

Plus, a PB is a PB no matter by how slim the margin and Pitcher can also look back at a year in which he has also improved his times over 5 miles on the road (27:37 in the Weston Prom) and the 5k parkrun (16:48, Cardiff).
