Sweet 16 has B&W team boss Down purring with delight

BRISTOL & West AC team manager Mike Down reckons the club’s senior men have now won the South West Cross Country Championships team title for a 16^th consecutive time.

A first ever clean sweep of the podium places by Jack Millar, who retained his individual title, Felix McGrath and Max Davis laid the foundation another thumping victory at RNAS Merryfield, Ilton, on Sunday.

With captain Owain Jones and super dependable Andy Watt completing the scoring in 11^th and 19^th places respectively B&W finished 84 points clear of Cheltenham-based club Western Tempo.

“It was the 16^th consecutive time the team has taken the men`s title and is a record the club should be proud of,” purred Down.
