ELLIE Leather is having a season to remember in America.
The Westbury Harrier, who is on a sports scholarship at Cincinnati University, bettered her personal best over 1500m for the second time this summer with a sparkling time of 4mins 11.33secs in the semi finals of the NCAA East Preliminaries in Bloomington, Indiana, on Saturday.
That shaved almost three seconds off her previous best to lift her to 12th in the UK Rankings and No 1 in the South West to underline the superb progress she has made this year.
In addition, Leather has run PBs over 800m (2:05.43 plus 2:05.32 indoors), the mile (4:34.89 indoors), 3000m (9:30.10 indoors) and 5000m (16:23.43).
That leaves her top of the South West Rankings in the 800m, 1500m and 3000m plus she is third fastest in the 5000m.
