‘Ears’ to a unique race!

This one-off running event dangles a very tempting carrot for all participants.

The Market Harborough Run Rabbit Trail Festival offers three separate challenges, which can be taken alone or combined to create The Quest for the Golden Carrot!

Staged in the attractive grounds of Marston Lodge, this festival is a very distinct mix of running, guest speakers and music.

Staged on Saturday / Sunday July 15/16, this weekend provides something completely different.

(Last year’s event was staged in May, with woods carpeted with bluebells making for amazing images – bluebells photo credit to Mick Hall photos.)

Saturday’s Trail Mix Challenge brings 25km of running via five different 5km runs with a different route starting on the hour over five consecutive hours.

The Headlight Hop comprises a 10km run in the early evening on Saturday – doubtless the highlight of the event for some, or even the twilight!

Camping – under canvas, in a camper van or caravan – is included for anyone entering any race, with catering – hot food and a licensed bar – also available.

Sunday morning kicks off with the Thump Half Marathon – a two-lap course through beautiful woodland with bucolic views.

Those completing all three events – 56.1km over 24 hours – can enter the Quest for the Golden Carrot, wherein the top six quickest male and female finishers enter a winner-takes-all one-mile Carrot Dash, with a Golden Carrot trophy for the female and male winners.
