AKIRA Bees of Westbury Harriers finished a fine third in the second Gloucestershire Cross Country League race staged by Stroud & District AC at Arlingham last weekend.
That was one place higher than his fourth in the opening U17 men’s race at Cirencester Park the previous month. Clubmate Thomas Darton was fifth.
In the senior men’s race Westbury’s Alex Hamblin was 23rd, just one place ahead of Bristol & West AC’s Aled Anderson.
Westbury’s Anya Erasmus was 23rd overall and ninth U20 in the senior women’s race.
Team Bath’s Leon Chevalier won the senior men’s race with Bath University student Phoebe Hayashi top woman.
