Rebecca runs personal best in Copenhagen half marathon

TWO west runners turned up in Denmark for the Copenhagen half marathon on Sunday.

In the women’s race it was good to see Team Bath’s ex-GB international Rebecca Hilland, who is based in Norway, back in action and still notching up personal bests.

Hilland, formerly Rebecca Wade, ran a personal best of 75mins 17secs to shave 21 seconds off her previous best set at the 2016 Cardiff half even though she has now moved in the W40 age category.

It was Hilland’s first competition since December 2019 when she completed the Malaga marathon (2:40.21).

In a top quality men’s race Bristol & West AC’s Jack Millar  recorded a s solid 67mins 53secs – but that was only good enough for 97th place! Millar’s PB remains at  65:49 from the Edinburgh event in May.
