FIRSTLY, an apology to Susan Duncan for using the wrong photo of her with our story earlier this week reporting on her super personal best of 37mins 42secs in the Speedwell 10k last weekend.
Instead the photo was of her Weston AC clubmate Nia Davies, who also had a great day over the Severn Bridge as she won the veterans over 50s prize.
Not only that, Davies smashed her PB by a staggering 1min 29secs, only 15 seconds behind Duncan’s massive improvement.
Anyway, just for the record we are now using the proper photos of both women – no more than they deserve after a tremendous day out at Beachley, near Chepstow.
Those Weston AC women are certainly running superbly and Davies can look back at a cracking opening month of the year as she has also posted lifetime bests over 5 miles (32:27 in the Weston Prom 5) and her local Marine Parade parkrun (20:15).
