Wallace wows with a week of personal bests

WELL that wasn’t a bad seven days for Ellie Wallace.

Three races and three personal bests add up to one heck of a week’s racing for the busy North Somerset AC runner (pictured below).

Wallace kicked off her hectic schedule with a PB of 9mins 22.91secs to win the 3000m at the British Milers Club meeting at Millfield School over the Queen’s Jubilee weekend.

The following Wednesday she headed up to Birmingham University for another BMC meeting and lowered her PB in the 1500m from 4:24.79 indoors to 4:23.72.

Not content with that Wallace lined up for the 1500m C race at the BMC Saucony Grand Prix at Watford on Saturday night and smashed it all over again.

A time of 4:20.40 put her sixth in the C race and lifted her up to fourth in the South West Rankings – alongside her top spot in the 3000m and second in the 5000m after her PB of 16:01.22 last month.

Wallace will now head to the British Championships, where she is entered for the 1500m, with her confidence high. She has had a cracking season so far.
