EMERSONS Green Running Club has launched a new race for 2016.
The Doynton Hard half marathon, which will be held on Sunday January 24th, is described as a cross country race held on public footpaths, bridle paths and country lanes with plenty of hills and water crossings.
“It’s hilly, it’s muddy and it will probably be quite cold,” said a spokesman for EGRC.
“The scenery is terrific and the terrain varies wildly. We just love it.”
The race starts and finishes in Doynton, which is about 10 miles north east of Bristol and will be chip-timed and have comprehensive marshalling.
