CONFIRMATION in Athletics Weekly magazine this week that Bristol & West AC’s senior men finished seventh overall and top Midlands team in the Virgin London Marathon.
The squad of Harry Allen (2:23.30), Maciej Bialogonski (2:23.40 and pictured left) and Graham Breen (2:35.19) clocked a cumulative time of 7hs 22mins 29secs.
Because the event incorporated the British and English Championships there was strict enforcement on the rule of wearing club vests so that had an impact on the final results, which are still being clarified.
The women’s squad of Annabel Granger (2:47:43), Naomi Aylwin (3:11:36) and Lucy Bird (3:16:23) placed ninth.
