BATH brothers Guy and Alec Woods (pictured) will be joined by Mick O’Doherty and Paul Synott are heading to north Wales this weekend for the World Mountain Running Championships.
The week-long event is based at Betws-y-Coed and the attraction for the Bath group is that masters age-group races are also included.
“Alec and I will both be running the 50-54 age group race, Paul is in the M45-49 race while Mick is in the M55-59 category which means we all get proper races which is great,” explained Guy, who now lives in the centre of Bath having recently taken over the Kennard Hotel.
“The course is 10k with 500 metres of climbing and from what I have seen on line is quite technical and mostly on quite fast forest tracks so while it won’t be too demanding it will be pretty tough.”
The Bath runners are all due in action on Saturday.
