CONGRATULATIONS to Team Avon on their success in reaching the UK finals of the Youth Development League next month.
The team, comprising athletes from Bristol & West, Mendip AC, Team Bath and Yate & District AC, won the upper age (U20/17) promotion match hosted by Yate at their Brimsham Green headquarters on Sunday.
Team Avon finished 164 points clear of Coventry & Leamington, who will join them in the final which is being held at the Sportcity Stadium, Manchester, on September 3rd/4th.
The athletes are their team managers, Lesley Nunn and Sandra Woodman, deserve huge credit for this latest success which once again underlines the amount of young talented in the area.
