BRISTOL & West AC secured their place in Division Two of the British Men’s League with a solid performance in the fourth and final match in Kingston yesterday.
Fifth place on the day meant they claimed sixth spot overall with Nee Valley and Gateshead relegated. It was the club’s best result of the campaign as they just edged out Notts AC into sixth by two points.
One of the star performances came from Steve Mitchell (pictured), who won the 3000m in a new Division Two record time of 8mins 15.46secs and was also winner of the 800m B in 1:55.61.
