Survey plea as Gwent Cross Country League looks to the future

Future stars: Westbury Harriers’ winning under 11 boys’ team will hopefully be racing the Gwent League for many years to come

THE Gwent League has been part of the cross country fixtures and fittings for as long as most of us can remember but that doesn’t mean it isn’t casting one to the future and looking at changes to reflect the changing nature of the sport.

So with the 2019/20 season now over – if prematurely following the cancellation of the final fixture due to the weather – the league management team are seeking the views of runners, coaches and parents to determine whether there is a need to change the format.

Geraint Torrington of Westbury Harriers has taken on the task of administering the survey and is keen for as many people as possible to take part.

The bigger the response the more chance of forming a better picture of how the league is viewed and whether there is a need to tinker with it.

So please take time out to look at the survey and help Torrington and his team as they consider the way forward for this great league.

You can download it here and the return email address is at the bottom.
