Stokes dips under 34mins to win the Tash 10k in Bath

Flying start: Adam Stokes, on the far right, went off hard from the gun

BRISTOL & West AC’s Adam Stokes was a convincing winner of the second Tash 10k road race held around the Odd Down cycle track last weekend.

The race was set up to honour the memory of Team Bath athlete Natasha Lewis, who was tragically killed while out training last year.

Stokes was the only man to break 34 minutes with a time of 33:53 to hold off Team Bath’s Dan Jones (34:10).

Stokes’ fastest time this year is 33:03 at the Cardiff Bay 10k in May while his lifetime best stands at 31:59, which he set three years ago at the Brighton 10k.
