DAMIAN Spreckley of Great Western Runners finished runner-up in the Wiltshire half marathon on Sunday clocking a time of 1:18.42 with William Smith of Southville Running Club also making the top the in eighth (1:24.30).
There was also second place (1:31.35) for Bristol & West’s Francesca Eddy in the women’s race.
*Mike Gibbs of Bitton Road Runners finished 20th in the Avebury 8 completing the course in 1hr 3ins 30secs. Town & Count Harriers Geoff Thompson was 56th (1:11.12) and third veteran over 60.
*Stephanie Barnes (pictured) of Bristol & West AC finished 10th in the Lotto Cross Cup
fixture in Roeselare, Belgium, on Sunday. The former Easy Runner/Bristol Post athlete of the month now lives in Belgium.
