MIDLAND Counties champion Ben Robinson carved six seconds off his personal best for 5000m at the British Milers’ Club Grand Prix in Solihull on Saturday.
The 26-year-old Bristol & West AC runner (pictured) finished seventh in the C race in 15mins 14.23secs which means he has now slashed 42 seconds off his best mark from 2014 when he tackled the evet for the first time.
Now if he gets in a good winter then he must be looking to break 15 minutes next summer.
Also at Solihull clubmate Adam Speake ran a season’s best of 3:56.21 in the 1500m.
