
TWO more golds and a bronze ensured that Bristol & West AC’s autumn relay campaign continues to keep on delivering success for the club.
After the success of the senior men it was the turn of the club’s ever-growing masters section to show their quality on the national stage at the National Cross Country Relays at Long Eaton, near Derby.
The golds were won by the women’s over 55s squad of Sarah Everitt, Rosey Mushens and Clare Jolliffe while the men’s over 65s team of Jon Goodland, Pete Mountain and Dave Bedwell were also triumphant.
In addition, Everitt and Bedwell clocked the fastest times of the day in their respective age group with the former also notching up a course record beating the previous mark by 11 seconds. The bronze medals in the over 35s race represented a super success for the club with Jessie Sanzo returning to action for the first time in five years, joined by Marie Monaghan, making her debut for the club and recent signing Katie Roy
