FOR many local athletes the action will be focused on Sunday for the second Gwent League fixture at Llandaff Fields, Cardiff.
The opening fixture at Bridgend saw some great local success with the Westbury Harriers pair of Abdifataah Hasan and Aidan Noble (pictured winning the Easy Runner/Bristol Post athlete of the month competition) enjoying a notable one-two in the under 15 boys’ race.
There was further success for Westbury in the novice boys’ age group with Seamus Robinson claiming victory while in the girls’ age groups Hannah Hobbs (U17s) was a winner and Ruby Saunders and Amelia Honor finished one-two in the novice girls’ event.
