NEW 3000m steeplechaser Steve Mitchell is cramming in the experience of running over the barriers.
A week after clocking 9:21.36 on his debut at the BMC Grand Prix in Manchester the Bristol & West runner lowered that mark to 9:14.86 in a solo run at the British league match in Watford.
Mitchell cantered to victory by over 40 seconds to edge his way closer to the top 20 of the UK Rankings.
The club again finished fifth overall – matching their result last month – and now lie fifth at the halfway stage of the campaign.
