Millar and Barnes looking sharp in Belgium

JACK Millar is looking in good shape for the English National Cross Country Championships which are just over a week away now.

The Bristol & West AC runner was on England duty in Belgium last weekend – his first overseas international honour – and finished a very creditable 11th at the CrossCup in Rotselaar.

That meant Millar was the third of the six England runner selected for the race. Fellow west runner Luke Prior, formerly of wells City Harriers, placed 25th.

In the women’s race B&W’s Steph Barnes (pictured left), who lives in Belgium finished fifth ad third Brit behind overall winner Kate Holt from the City of Stoke and Newbury’s Izzy Fry in fourth.
