LUKE Evans continued his good autumnal form with a runaway victory in the Calne Clock Challenge 10k road race.
On his last visit to Wiltshire two weeks ago the Bristol & West AC runner won the Grittleton 10k in 32:05 after a tough battle with Calne’s Simon Nott.
Nott opted for the 5k yesterday so Evans was left with a clear run to the finish line as he won by one-and-a-half minutes in a respectable 31:58.
Former Bitton Road Runner Mike Blackmore, who is now with Team Bath AC, was sixth and first veteran over 40 in 36:02, which is his fastest 10k of the year.
Wife Fiona was top woman in the 5k event in 19:30 with Bitton Road Runners’ Sarah Wright third.
