THE inaugural Kings Weston Parkrun on Sunday has been pronounced a success.
A total of 28 young runners turned up on a wet morning – and surely there would have been more but for a torrential downpour before the start – and completed the 5k event.
And as Neil Miller’s photo shows they all had a good time!
Westbury Harriers helped stage the event and club spokesman Miller said much credit goes to Warren Pickles for making the event happen plus considerable assistance from the volunteers.

The club adds that the event is now weekly, on a great, scenic course and anyone can come along as they have registered on the Parkrun website if it is their first time.
