Kate scorches to runaway victory in Gloucestershire Championships

KATE Hulls ran herself into the county history books after recording one of the biggest wins ever in the Gloucestershire Cross Country Championships.

KateHulls2015BThe Bristol & West international athlete finished almost three minutes clear of the field to win the senior women’s title for a second time and continue her superb form.

“Not only was it a tough, proper cross country course but it was also so wet and cold and at one stage it hailed on us,” added Hulls.

“But you know I started off with the smaller stuff like this and running these races brings you firmly back down to earth so I enjoyed it.”

Over the past month Hulls has clocked personal bests over 3000m indoors and 10k on the road in Madrid on New Year’s Eve, raced for England in the IRIS Lotto Cross Cup event in Brussels, finishing 13th and was named reserve for Great Britain in the Edinburgh Cross last weekend.
