NOVEMBER has been a good month for James Rodgers.
The North Somerset AC runner set a personal best of 31mins 22secs in the Leeds 10k, was eighth in the Gwent League and on Tuesday night notched up victory in the Aztec West Fast 5k.
Rodgers raced to victory in a time of 15mins 16secs, his second quickest mark on the course, to beat clubmate and September race winner Josh Davis (15:23) with Matthew Collins of Micky Morris Racing third (15:39).
Top woman was in-form Ruth Barnes of Avon Valley runners, barely 48 hours after she clocked a personal best to win the Swindon 10k.
It was her first time on the Aztec West course and her time of 17mins 13secs put her 1min 07secs clear of Westbury youngster Ellie Wallace (18:20)with Bristol & West’s Antonia Burt third (18:21).
There were 182 finishers.
