LUKE Evans’ victory in the Calne Beat The Clock 10k road race completed a whirlwind hat-trick of wins for the Bristol & West AC runner.
Remarkably the former junior star ran personal bests in every one of those three wins. Evans began by clipping 13 seconds from his best in winning the Grittleton 10K in 32:06, then followed it with four seconds off his 5k best in taking the Aztec West 5K in 15:13.
Finally Evans completed the hat-trick with a further nine seconds off his 10k time to 31:57at Calne on a course that was far removed from the fast flat advertised.
