A SMATTERING of west runner made the trip to Milton Keynes for the opening race in the British Athletics Cross Challenge series.
The highest place went to Westbury Harriers’ Hannah Hobbs (pictured left with coach Pat Gallagher), who finished fifth in the under 17 women’s race while younger sister Ellie was 15th in the under 15s.
Clubmate Ellie Wallace (pictured below second from left) squeezed into the top ten of the under 20 women’s event.
Bristol & West’s Owain Jones was the only local senior runner to make the journey and he competed well to finish 18th while Stroud’s Tom Mortimer was eighth in the under 20 men’s age group.
