A REQUEST for help in running the opening Gwent Cross Country League race on Saturday has been issued.
Westbury Harriers’ Neil Miller, who sits on the Gwent League organising committee, said the league is short of volunteers for the fixture which looks like attracting a huge turn-out.
“Because of illness, the league is short of helpers to run ‘registration’ at Cardiff on Saturday,” said Miller.
“ Would anyone be willing (or can volunteer their partner…) to sit in the registration tent from 10am -12 noon, or 12 – 14:20pm? The division of ‘shifts’ is arbitrary, but the first one is by far the busiest.”
