Ellie leads the Westbury gold rush at Avon county championships

WESTBURY Harriers won gold medals at the Avon Cross Country Championships staged once again at Bath University.

Ellie Wallace led a Harriers clean sweep in the under 17 women’s race with Rosie Allen and Sophie Reed joining her n the podium.

Also victorioWestburymedalwinnersTriCounties2015us were Kate Howard in the under 13 girls’ race and Ruby Saunders in the under 11s with team-mate Amelia Honor just a second behind.

Only North Somerset’s Olivia Burton prevented a Harriers clean sweep in the girls’ young athletes races as she lifted the under 15 girls’ crown.

The Westbury success in the boys’ race came from Seamus Robinson in the under 11 boys’ race.

North Somerset also had their fair share of success. In addition to Burton’ win Josh Davis (senior men), Mike Proffitt (U20 men and Angharad Flower (U20 women) also successful.
