Davies wins silver medal with GB relay team at Worlds

CONGRATULATIONS to Team Bath AC runner Justin Davies, who helped Great Britain win the team silver medals at the World Universities Cross Country Championships in Portugal, at the weekend.

Davies (pictured below), who won silver for Avon in the senior boys’ 1500m at the English Schools’ Championships last year, ran the fourth and final leg of the mixed relay which comprised two legs of 4k and two of 2k.

Davies took over in second place and did enough on the final 2k loop to bring GB home in the silver medal position behind France with Spain third.

The University of Bath student is now receiving assistance from the Natasha Lewis Foundation, set up in memory of the former Bristol & West and Team Bath athlete, who tragically died while out training last year.
