WHEN it comes to top prizes does it get any better than a large chocolate cake?
That is the incentive on offer for the winner of the 27th annual Crook Peake Cake Race, which is a category B fell race held in the Mendips, scheduled for Wednesday August 22nd (7pm).
The event is organised jointly by the Clover Rovers and Weston AC and offers a rare chance for west country runners to try a certified fell race which though short at just three miles includes 800 feet of ascent.
The race HQ is the White Hart in Cross, just off the A38, five miles west of Cheddar and 17 from Bristol. For entry details see the race website at: www.facebook.com/crookpeakcakerace or email: willprobbins@hotmail.com
