Bristol & West men maintain lead in Gwent League


Bristol & West AC runners at the latest Gwent League fixture

 

BRISTOL & West AC maintained their lead on the Gwent Cross Country League senior men’s team competition despite being edged out by Micky Morris Racing Team in the latest match at Pembrey Park.

The Welsh men edged out B&W by 32 points on the day but after two matches Bristol & West hold a 74 points advantage with Aberdare Valley third.

Westbury lie 15th after finishing 10th on the day.

A resurgent Andy Watt was B&W’s leading man in 12th with further support from Miles Chandler (21st), Joe Ballard (25th), Alberto Beltram (37th) and Josh Habgood-Coote (65th).

Westbury’s leading man was Oli Beale in 16th also putting him top veteran over 40 while Matt Ellis was 23rd.
