BRISTOL & West athletes Emily Wright and Caroline Powell have both been short-listed for the Athletics Weekly (AW) Readers’ Choice Awards.
Wright (pictured) has been included on the list for the British Junior Female Category following her metre 21centimetre long jump PB to finish fourth in the World Youth Championships. Wright also broke the Welsh junior indoor long jump record.
Powell is included in the British Veteran category after setting a W60 world 400m record of 64.31secs in her heat of the World Masters and won gold as well as taking the 200m and 400m titles at the European Masters Indoors.
