RUNNERS still hoping to get an entry for the Bristol half marathon have been given a second chance.
Race director Georgette Van Hoof tells me that the entry deadline has been extended until September 1st – much later than normal – to allow as many people as possible to register for the event which is scheduled for Sunday September 13th.
That may also mean entries are down on previous years but that can’t detract from the fact that it is a superbly organised race and in the right conditions offers the chance to run a very fast time.
“We are also still offering up to 35 per cent discount for club block bookings – but they will need to move fast !” said Georgette,
