BRISTOL & West runners finished among the medals at the British Masters 10k Championships incorporated into the Kew 10k over the weekend.

The race was held within the grounds of the Royal Botanical Gardens as part of the Richmond Runfest and had a very early start at just after 8am.

That didn’t seem to worry the amazing Anne Dockery as she finished first female veteran over 70 in a time of 49mins 40secs with Caroline Lavis of Hogweed Trotters runner-up in 51:53.

Phil Parry is getting back to some form and he picked up a silver medal in the over 55s age group clocking 35:44, well beaten by Jon James (33:42) of Wells City Harriers.

Then there was a bronze medal for Clare Jolliffe in the over 50s age group.

Westbury Harriers were also represented with Ewan Paton leading the way in 70th overall and ninth in the over 50s category clocking a time of 38:42.

Competing in the over 65s class Mike Mewse placed fifth with a time of 44:54.
