Bartlett smashes half marathon PB to go fourth on South West Rankings

JED Barlett smashed his personal best to finish runner-up in the Manchester half marathon.

The Bristol & West AC man clocked a time of 69mins 20secs to carve over six minutes from his three-year-old debut time of 75:40 set when placing second in the Tewkesbury half marathon.

The time lifts Bartlett to fourth in the South West Rankings, which is headed by clubmate jack Millar with his PB of 66:36 set at the Cheshire Elite half marathon in April.

Arthur Dickson-Bell of Southville Running Club also has a PB to his name this year and his 70:55 at the Shepperdine half, south Gloucestershire, in April puts him ninth in the regional top times list.

Dickson-Bell also lopped a big chunk off his PB which had previously stood at 75:50 from the 2019 Great Bristol race.
