Back in business – The Clevedon 4 Boxing Day races return

Boxing Day hit: The start of the 2018 Clevedon 4 miles road race

GREAT news from Clevedon AC – the Boxing Day road races are back!

Cancelled last Christmas for the first time in its 44-year history due to the Covid-19 pandemic the hugely popular event will be restored to its rightful place as the premier West Country event on Boxing Day morning.

“We are aiming to make this year’s event the biggest and best yet!” said a statement from the club.

Entries are now open for both the Junior 3km Race (ages 6-14) and the Senior 4 mile race (age 15+) – please follow the link to the entry website: https://entrysystem.se/form/boxingday2021/1

While more than anything the Clevedon 4 is a great social event and a chance to run off the Christmas Day excesses it is also a fiercely competitive trace that attracts a top class field.

Indeed, a course record bonus of £250 is on offer to anyone who can break the course records held by internationals Ian Gillespie (18:28) and Kate Reed (20:31) – money that well be well earned if those impressive times can be beaten.
