Avon names strong team for English Schools Championships

AVON Schools’ have announced a strong team for the English Schools Athletics Championships in Birmingham next month.

“Selection was, as always, difficult, since we are limited to taking 40 athletes in total,” said a spokesman.

The squad includes some strong contenders for a medal from junior boys’ high jumper Luke Ball (pictured above) to senior girls’ sprint hurdler Jenna Blundell, though she will be hoping to make the Gb team for the European Under 20 Championships in Sweden instead.
