BRISTOL & West AC’s senior women swept the board at the Dursley Dirty Dozen multi terrain race this morning.
Annabel Granger continued her recent outstanding form – 14th and 26th at the South West and Midland Counties Cross Country Championships respectively – with an emphatic victory.
Granger won with a time of 1hr 40mins 40secs with Catie O’Donoghue over five minutes behind in second (1:45.44) with Elaina Gard securing the podium paces in 1:47.40.
That gave the B&W trio the perfect score of six points to leave them 29 clear of Thornbury Running Club, who were led home by Taryn Roberts in fourth place with Hannah Hamilton (13th) and Clare Watt (18th) in support.
Bitton Road Runners’ Lunette Porter finished sixth overall and first veteran over 55.
Paul Hocking of the host club Dursley Running Club was the overall winner (1:27.43) with Steve Clayson of Westbury Harriers sixth overall and first veteran.
Dave Hobbs of Thornbury RC was 10th and top veteran over 50.There were 339 finishers.
