JACK Millar enjoyed arguably his best result in the British Athletics Cross Challenge with 10th place in the Milton Kenynes event on Saturday.
In a much stronger field than turned up for the first Challenge fixture in Cardiff last month Millar battled tenaciously to make the top ten and just edge out Bristol & West AC clubmate Will Christofi, who was two places and eight seconds behind.
Not any young athletes made the trip and the best result was Hugh Sadler’s 11th place (pictured) in the combined under 20/17 men’s race with the North Somerset AC pair of Callum Smith and Sam Gentry making the top 100.
The best NSAC result came from Ollie Lock in the under 15 boys’ age group as he placed 20th.
In the senior women’s race Westbury Harriers’ Floren Scrafton can be pleased with her 24th with former Bristol & West AC Olympian Claire Hallissey, who is now racing for Dacorum, in 41st.
